What is a Connection?
In Caravel, a connection is an authentication with another platform. Imagine them as links to your tools that you can segment as multiple Sources of data within Caravel and use for various Automations in those tools.
Now let's see how to create a connection!

Start by navigating to the main flyout menu and select Connections.

Select the connection you want to authenticate. Right now we support the following connections out of the box:
- Zendesk
- BigQuery
- Slack
While not listed, we offer the following connections via pro services:
- Salesforce
- Freshdesk
- Kustomer

If you do not see a connection you need or it is in the coming soon list, contact us at [email protected]. It may be possible to support your needs with HTTP Triggers in Automations and we do consider custom integrations and prioritize our integration roadmap for emergent needs.
Ensure that you have API privileges on the platform you are trying to connect. Find your connection in the list and hit connect. Depending on the connection, you may need to enter additional details or take a few additional steps:
